- MBK
This is one of the most popular shopping malls where you can buy things for a reasonable price. You can access it by National Stadium BTS station or from the Skywalk Bridge connected from Siam Discovery. It also has air conditioning which will make your visit comfortable.
It houses 2000 vendors and you can find anything ranging from fashion related items such as bags and fashion accessories, clothes for men and women, and belts to electronic items, cameras, mobile phones and accessories to furniture, artifacts and other miscellaneous products.
It also has a Thai food court which has several restaurants where you can go for a quick bite in case you are hungry from all that shopping. It’s open from 10 Am to 10 PM every day.
- Pratunam Market
This market will remind you of any packed streets anywhere in the whole world as it is full of small run down shops which cater to the needs of anyone looking for some cheap shoes, exotic clothes like gowns, accessories and other clothing. It is situated between Petchaburi Road and Baiyoke Sky Tower. Always remember to bargain here to get the best value for money. Shops are open from 10am to 9pm.
- Platinum Mall
This is a very popular mall in the Pratunam market which has shops selling fashion clothes, accessories for women mainly plus cosmetics, skincare and more. You can buy products at very low prices and again be sure to bargain with the vendors to get a discount. The more you buy the more chances you have of increasing the discount rate. The shops are open from 9 am to 5 pm.
- Palladium
The Palladium is built on the same lines as the Platinum Mall in the Pratunam area with more space and over 1500 vendors. The mall features mostly Chinese products and you can get clothes and other accessories at a bargain here. Several fake brand clothes are also sold in this mall. Shops stay open from 9am to 5pm
- Chatuchak Market
This is the biggest and one of the most famous outdoor markets in Bangkok. If you have a couple hours to spare you can go there and take a stroll. It has about 8000 vendors who sell a wide variety of assorted goods. Vintage vinyl records, vintage clothing, fish, paintings, pets, pet accessories, plants, flowers, small home furnishings, clocks, trinkets, souvenirs, cheap T-shirts, and ceramics along with several other things can be bought in this market. Go there in the morning when the place is not crowded and beware of the pickpockets.
- The Rod Fai Market (Train Market)
This is a very unique market and you should really visit it if you are interested in vintage goods and some delicious Thai food. You can, find old American muscle car, antique furniture and other accessories. Most items have been bought from Thailand, other Asian countries and western countries. The mall is located right behind the Seacon Square.
- Asiatique
This is one of Bangkok’s new night markets. You will find a mix of Asian, American and European shops and food joints. This shopping place is famous among tourists and locals alike. To reach here, you can take the free shuttle boats which depart every 15 minutes between 4 pm to 8 pm from Sathorn (Central) Pier.
